Add Social Media links (twitter, facebook, linkedIn, etc)

You can add social media sharing buttons/icons to the header and footer areas of your registration form and to the thank you and closed pages.

The easiest way is to use a free service to generate the code and then paste it into the ePly system.

Suggested services: - good for allowing your registrants to share with their contacts, lot of customization, but you may need help from someone with coding experience. - easy to add a custom button that links to your own twitter, facebook, etc. accounts.

Here are the steps you would follow.
  1. Use a service to generate an HTML code Snippet - there are usually some standard layouts to choose from and then options for customizing your buttons.
  2. Login to the ePly system and go to the area where you want your buttons to appear, for example in the header
  3. Click the "HTML Button"

getting the editor into html mode

  4. After you click the html button, you will see the code for the area you are in, decide where you want your buttons to appear and paste in your code snippet from the service you are using.  You may have to carefully look at the html code to make sure you paste it in the right area.  If you need help ask your webmaster or contact ePly support.

Note - depending on the code that you add, you many not see the buttons appear in the html editor when you are in design or preview mode, you will need to view the actual registration form.

  5. Save the changes and then view your form to check your buttons.
  6. Click the buttons to test the functionality.

ePly's Default Sharing Code

If you start a form with one of ePly's templates the following code is inserted in the header area by default.

If you would like to use this code on a form that doesn't already contain the code, copy and paste it into the area where you would like your social media icons to appear (usually in the header).  You must paste it into the HTML View.
